Amazon Astro
During my time as the Lead 3D Artist for Amazon’s CX Labs, I was part of the core creative team developing the marketing package for Astro, Amazon’s first consumer-level robotic assistant. I was responsible for creating the source 3D file that would be used across all assets generated for customer-facing marketing, as well as the digital product photography itself.
My responsibilities included converting raw CAD geometry data and using photo references along with the CMF (Color-Material-Finish) document to create photoreal materials for the final renders. I meticulously crafted a 3D file that I used to render over 30 distinct product images and also included a fully functional rig, allowing animators downstream to utilize the file seamlessly for motion treatments. The 3D file I created became the foundation for hundreds of assets, significantly contributing to the project’s success and the visual storytelling of Amazon Astro.
