Acer Predator Creative Expression
When Acer launched its new brand of gaming PC hardware, Predator, my team was brought on to bring the brand to life through a series of CGI creative expressions for broadcast, social, and events.
As the Acer America agency of record, we had the opportunity to start from the beginning, connecting a premium brand to a passionate audience. Beginning with deep industry and customer research, we discovered a large, growing segment of the gaming audience that was receptive to digital marketing and willing to spend on their interests: the enthusiast. While dedicated gamers are a common target demographic, the gaming enthusiast is a unique kind of player: they usually log just over 20 hours a week, prefer affordable hardware that is aesthetically attractive, and are deeply interested in the concept of world-building. That informed our approach, to infuse imagery of the hardware with a visual language that this kind of gamer was used to seeing in the games they played.
With this audience insight, we developed a marketing plan across multiple channels and key brand touchpoints – from awareness to consideration to purchase. This connected customer experience engaged and cultivated a loyal community while driving product sales.
